Jasongs/Jayway/Serenade: This Just In
NEW BAND FINALLY HAS A NAME - November 12, 2008
We are officially called "Thunderhouse".
Band members are Jason Arvanites (guitar/keys/vox)Elaine Arvanites, (vox/keys) Gary Alt (lead guitar/keys/backing vox) Derek Alt (drums/keys) and Larry Hayden (bass/vox).
We are currently adding songs to our repertoire. It's a pretty good mix. Very soon we'll have full sets and, when we do, we'll put the word out that we are ready to rock like rollin' thundah!
NEW BAND ON THE HORIZON - October 26, 2008
We are in the throes of forming a new 5 piece band.
We will perform originals and covers. There may be a few surprises under those covers too.
3 out of the 5 are former members of the band "Rain". So, the same great sound plus 2.
When we're ready to hit the road we'll give you a holler.

JASON'S BIG INTERVIEW - January 25, 2008
I received a call from Suburban Trends. A local north Jersey paper which features spotlights on local musicians and/or undiscovered talent.
The interview took place on January 23, 2008. It went well and should prove to be useful in advertising our services.
As soon as it's out I'll post it here.
SINGING IN THE "RAIN" - January 20, 2008
Well, the show was a success. We did 2 sets that kept the crowd happy.
30 of our peeps came to give us support. Thanks guys!
Even the pub owner liked us. He wants us back for future gigs. I'll post the date when we know for sure.

DEMO-LISHED - October 4, 2007
Well, as it turns out. We never quite got to record our demo. There were a lot of crazy things happening.
Given the fact that it was outdoors. The ground was uneven (except for the drummer's platform) and acorns were randomly shooting at us and our equipment. (I think the squirrels are doing it, but I digress) Add to that the fact that sound travels into the atmosphere when playing outside.
I did however manage to get a few recordings of some acts that preceeded us. Open mic acoustic songs and a band called "Atomic Windsor". But even there the mix was less than desirable.
By that point I realized that it would be pointless to expect a decent recording of our band. Oh yeah, and our drummer likes the lights to be out. So, I couldn't really see the buttons on the 8 track anyway. And of course, I was playing and singing and it was abut 10 feet away from me. And since I am the only one who knows how to work the thing...well, you get it.
Next time it will be in a controlled environment. No squirrels.
DEMO DAY - September 22, 2007
"RAIN" will be performing at a private function September 29, 2007. We will take advantage of the situation to record a live demo. When that is complete it will be available to anyone who wants a copy. We will most likely use it to shop around for a local gig. Sort of like the guy at the mall who lets you have a taste of teriyaki chicken in the food court. Yum!
WASH YOUR HANDS, VIETNAM! - September 19, 2007
SERENADE - August 9, 2007
We are getting the act "Serenade" back on the road for future gigs. We will start things off with a pool party this weekend.
We also hope to obtain a spot at Warwick Winery for an acoustic gig with Gary Alt.
I will post an announcement here and via email when we have a date.
TEMPORARY DROUGHT - August 9, 2007
Show has been cancelled on account of insufficient "weather" conditions. Actually, due to some complications the show will be postponed to a date that has yet to be determined. I will post an update as soon as we know.
